Stone County Jail Roster
The Stone County Sheriff's Office provides the local jail roster. The roster-choose page offers two paths: current inmates and 48-hour release. The roster page observed during research included sorting, filtering, name search, show-all controls, and pagination. The sheriff source also carries a disclaimer: the information is collected, maintained, and provided for convenience, the Detention Center cannot certify accuracy or authenticity, and readers should not rely on it as the final official answer for charges or bail.
The roster is a custody lookup, not a statewide criminal-history tool. It does not replace Case.net for court charges, Missouri DOC Offender Web Search for sentenced state prisoners or supervision, or the MSHP registry for sex-offender searches. It can answer a narrower but important question: whether a person appears in the Stone County Detention Center roster or recent-release path at the time the roster is checked.
The assigned roster landing image comes from the official Stone County roster choice page.

The landing page matters because it separates current Stone County inmate search from the recent-release lookup.
Use the Stone County Inmate Roster
The roster interface gives several ways to narrow or sort jail data. Use the name search when a first or last name is known. Use the current or released filter to choose custody status. Sort by name or date when browsing a long result list. The research observed roster result fields such as mugshot, inmate full name, booking number, booking date and time, charges, bond, and a View Profile link.
- Open the Stone County inmate roster choice page and choose current inmates or 48-hour release.
- Use the Search By Name box with either a first name or last name, or choose Show All to browse the roster.
- Sort by Name or Date, and choose newest-to-oldest or oldest-to-newest if the result list is long.
- Open the View Profile link for the matching person to see the public profile fields.
- Call 417-357-6116 before posting bond or relying on listed charges, because the profile warns that charges and bail can change.

The current roster is the main public custody list, while the profile page carries the more detailed public booking fields.
Stone County Roster Search Fields
The roster search-field table is useful because it shows the actual controls found in the official Stone County roster inspection. The search is not limited to an exact full name. The research says the placeholder accepts first or last name, while other controls sort, filter, show all records, or move through pages. None of these controls require a public login.

Stone County Inmate Profile Fields
The sample public profile inspected during research showed enough fields to separate booking data from court case data. The profile identified the inmate, booking number, age, gender, race, arresting agency, booking date, charges, and bond. It also carried the key warning that charges and bail amounts may change after court appearances. The profile did not show a projected release date or housing unit in the research inventory, so those fields should not be promised.
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name | The public inmate name on the profile. |
| Mugshot | A front-facing booking image when available. |
| Booking number | The booking identifier for the custody entry. |
| Age | The age shown on the profile. |
| Gender | The gender value listed by the roster. |
| Race | The race value listed by the roster. |
| Arresting agency | The agency tied to the booking, such as Stone County Sheriff's Office. |
| Booking date | The booking date and time shown on the profile. |
| Charges | The booking charge text, subject to change after court appearances. |
| Bond | The bond amount shown, subject to Detention Center confirmation. |

The sample profile supports the field inventory and the warning to confirm bond and charges before acting.
Stone County Detention Contact
The Stone County Sheriff's Office and Detention Center use the same address in the research. The sheriff homepage and footer list the 24-hour phone number, and the contact page adds urgent dispatch and non-emergency handling. Administrative hours apply to the office, not necessarily to custody status checks. For bond, current charges, and case-number accuracy, the sample profile directs people to contact Detention Center staff.

For court case status after booking, use Case.net or contact the Circuit Clerk. For jail status, bond confirmation, or booking charge confirmation, use the Detention Center phone number.
Stone County Inmate Records Requests
The public roster is not the only sheriff records path. The sheriff record request form is the official route for reports and sheriff records that are not posted in the public roster. It collects requester, incident, relationship, copy, delivery method, and signature fields according to the research. Requests remain subject to Missouri Sunshine Law limits, active-investigation limits, and other restrictions.
Use the roster first for custody status. Use the sheriff record request form for sheriff-held records that go beyond the public roster. Use Case.net for filed charges and court events. This split prevents a common error: assuming a jail booking page is the same as the complete criminal court file.
Stone County Booking and Court Records
A Stone County inmate record can start before a court case is fully visible. The sheriff roster may show a person booked into custody with a charge label and bond amount, while the Circuit Court record may later show the formal complaint, information, docket entries, hearings, plea, disposition, or sentence. The research specifically notes that charges appear both on the sheriff roster at booking and in Case.net criminal dockets after filing. That is why a roster result should be treated as a custody record, then checked against the court docket when the question is about filed charges or case outcome.
Stone County's Criminal Division files and processes misdemeanors and felonies. Local court records may show charges, attorney appearances, bond, arraignment, pleas, trial settings, motions, judgments, dispositions, sentencing, probation, and warrants. Local Rule 67.5 says felony defendants are normally arraigned in Circuit Court on the next Criminal Law Day after being bound over from Division III. Local Rule 2.4.6 says a capias warrant can issue after a defendant fails to appear for felony arraignment following disposition in Division III. Those court events do not all appear in the jail roster, so custody records and docket records should be read together when a case is active.
For public access, Missouri's Sunshine Law supports access to public governmental records, but law-enforcement investigative reports may be closed while active. Juvenile, sealed, expunged, adoption, mental-health, and personal-identifier material can also be restricted or redacted. The sheriff roster is public convenience information, and the Detention Center disclaimer says it cannot certify accuracy or authenticity. Case.net is better for the filed court case. The Circuit Clerk remains the court custodian for copies, payment questions, and court records not visible online.
State Inmate Search Limits
The Missouri Department of Corrections system is a state-offender path, not a Stone County pretrial jail roster. The DOC homepage links to Offender Web Search, and the DOC contact page describes automated offender search. Use DOC records for sentenced state prisoners, parole, or probation supervision. Use the county sheriff roster for Stone County jail custody. A person can move from county custody to state custody after sentencing, but the research does not support using DOC tools as a current Stone County jail roster.
DOC resources can still help when the person is no longer in the local jail or when the issue is supervision after a court sentence. The DOC Sunshine Law page also notes offender-data access, while the family and friends page provides state-level information for people dealing with DOC custody. Those sources are useful, but they answer a different question from the Stone County Detention Center roster. If the question is current county custody, start with the sheriff roster and phone line.
The assigned DOC contact image comes from the official Missouri DOC contact page.

The DOC contact source helps users avoid confusing state custody or supervision records with Stone County jail roster data.
The DOC also publishes Sunshine Law material about offender data. See the official Missouri DOC Sunshine Law offender data page.

DOC offender data may assist with state custody research, but it does not replace the Stone County roster for local detention.
Stone County Visitation and Commissary Gaps
Official Stone County sheriff pages found during research did not publish a detention-center visitation schedule, video-visitation vendor, mail rules, commissary vendor, money-deposit options, phone-service vendor, tablet program, or attorney-visitation policy. Those gaps should be stated plainly. Third-party vendor names should not be inserted without a Stone County official source. The right practical step is to call the Detention Center before sending mail, traveling for a visit, or trying to deposit money.
The gap table below uses only official-source findings from the research file. It preserves the difference between what the Stone County roster proves and what the official pages did not publish. For bond and charge accuracy, the profile warning is stronger than any unsupported vendor guess because it directs bond companies and people posting bail to call Detention Center staff.
| Topic | Official detail found | What the user should do |
|---|---|---|
| Inmate status | Public roster and profile pages show current booking status. | Search by first or last name or call 417-357-6116. |
| Bond or bail amount | Profile warns charges and bail may change. | Call Detention Center staff before posting bail. |
| Visitation schedule | Not published in official pages found. | Call the sheriff or Detention Center before traveling. |
| Not published in official pages found. | Call for mailing format and prohibited items. | |
| Commissary or money | Not published in official pages found. | Call for approved deposit method or vendor. |
| Attorney visits | Not published in official pages found. | Attorneys should contact the Detention Center directly. |
The Missouri DOC family and friends resource is a state-level source for state prisoners. The assigned image comes from the official Missouri DOC family and friends page.

That state resource can help with DOC custody questions, but Stone County jail visitation and commissary details must be confirmed locally.
Note: Official Stone County sources found in research did not provide a visitation schedule, so no schedule table can be completed with verified times.
